Digital Camera RAW Compatibility Update 4.08 Released

Apple has released the Digital Camera RAW Compatibility Update 4.08 via their Mac App Store, Software Update utility, and website for direct download. According to the company, this update adds RAW image compatibility for Canon EOS 70D, Fujifilm X-M1, Leica M, Leica M Monochrom, Nikon COOLPIX P330, Pentax 645D, Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX1R, and Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX100 II cameras to Aperture 3 and iPhoto '11. The update itself weighs in at 6.58 MB and requires Mac OS X 10.7.5 or later.

I kinda hate these RAW updates. I don't even use it but, it pops up every time.

Do you have a camera that supports RAW? If so, you should try using it. I got into using the format with my DSLR. They look really nice and even take them to the next level with Aperture cause you're starting with a clean plate.

Well, you know the old saying. The best camera is the one you have with you. Smile

That being said, I've always been impressed with the iPhone's camera. Probably going back as far as the 3Gs. And I'm sure that will even improve more with the 5s and 6. Just look at the stuff Nokia is doing with their phones. There are good times ahead indeed.

I take a majority of my pictures with an iPhone. It's a fine camera and I really like having the geotagging, which is a feature I wish my SLR included.
