|after MichaelLax's excellent work in the Apple Support Communities and MacRumors forums it is time to take the plunge.
There must be a large following of this subject given the combined number of views ( although it will take many views to establish the best way forward ).
Having bought a copy of Parallels 8, a new copy of Snow Leopard Server off eBay and updated to Mountain Lion, the first thought was to use the alternative operating system on an external USB drive, due to lack of space on the main SSD. Parallels should be able to run on an external boot drive but there will an obvious loss of speed. The second thought is to clear files off the SSD and run Parallels directly on the Mac mini. This will clearly be the quickest way forward.
How many users out there have used the procedure through Parallels ?
