Even though original specs limit this model at 8gb, the OWC web site seems to indicate that 16gb works with 10.7.5 or higher.

Anyone here running 16gb on a mid 2010? I ordered the kit from OWC for $150 since their return policy seemed to be such that I would have 2 weeks to test it.

Tried to do a search and found an older thread but no mention of OSX level was made on the thread. Am I about to kill my MM?

No actually try it and see here is why 1. OWC has it listed that it can support it if it fails you can send it back to them and print the page that says the model supports it and get your money back for false advertising

2. you wont hurt your mini the mini would just give a beep code and then shut off if it doesn't like the memory

It appears that everything was a success. I placed my order on the 8th of the month and the order arrived on the 11th. Startup after the install seemed normal (no beeps).

Selecting about this mac provided expected information:

Clicking more info and memory seemed to properly show the chips:

Downloaded memtest and ran that in single user mode. After 4 hours received the word all tests were passed:
