Connecting to Active Directory

Hello,

My Mac mini is only a couple weeks old and runs 10.8.2. I have a Windows 2000 domain in my home lab and wanted to connect the mac to the domain.

There seems to be an issue when I try to connect, when trying to bind to the domain, the Directory utility errors out giving a daemon error. At this point, I cannot quit the utility or cancel. I have to force quit the app.

I also tried ADmitMac and it also fails. The domain is set to accept NTLMv2 only and I configured that in ADmitMac but still no go. I am working with their support right now. Not sure if there is an NTLM setting anywhere in Directory Utility.

I wanted to see if anyone has any ideas on this.

upgrade to windows server 2003 see 10.4 tiger server and workstation connect to windows server 2000 and workstation 2000 where 10.8 requires 2003 or newer
