I like my iPad for web browsing, iMessage, receiving emails and portable convenience. I'm not even a fan of it when it comes to posting a comment on this forum. It's time consuming. The keyboard option would certainly help, but then it takes away from the reason I bought an iPad.

I'm the same way. I'll surf around on the iPad, but rarely make a comment or input a bunch of text on a website. I don't really do much with email either other than reading messages. Most messages are replied to or created on my MacBook Pro. It's just kinda strange that way. I don't really find it hard to type on the iPad. I think that I just prefer a physical keyboard inputting information. That's why I'm digging some of these new Windows 8 latops out there with a touchscreen. They could end up giving you the best of both worlds.

I don't quite understand why people want to turn iPads into laptops, when the MBA is a much nicer option. 4G in laptops would be a welcomed option, but please put it in all units, don't leave it as an expensive option (and further confusion).

I believe people do it because deep down, they want laptop functionality which they won't get because of the tablet OS.

I think MS is on to something with the convertibles and comingling of the OSes. They fall short since they don't have enough of the common desktop apps and utilities as tablet apps yet.
