The new firmware update did not work for me. Do they even test the update with various brands of monitors or do they only use Apple monitors? I am hearing the the fix doesn't not work for some people.

It's working for me with a 46" Sony TV. What type of display are you using? _________________ 2011 Mac mini with 8GB of RAM

I would try doing that. If it doesn't work, just buy a Mini DisplayPort to DVI adapter. It's a better port for finicky displays. _________________ 2011 Mac mini with 8GB of RAM

Didn't work for me. I am not too worried. I am using DP-DVI - DVI-HDMI setup that works for me.

Since my current setup of DP to DVI - DVI to Monitor's HDMI works, connecting to VGA is not necessary.

The update immediately solved the issue for me and it improved display quality .... I did do the update thru the App Store as opposed to the stand alone dmg....
