Mods: This might be somewhat off topic, feel free to move Wink

On Diggnation today, Kevin Rose (of TechTV fame, and recently, "Digg" fame) mentions that his christmas present to himself this year was a shiny new Powerbook. This show is followed by tons of windows users. I can only imagine what they were thinking when he said "Tiger is superior to Windows in almost every way." With Kevin using Mac, and Alex using Windows, it creates a new dynamic on the show, so far it's pretty interesting.

He also plugs a really neat program called "CoverFlow" Check it out, it's a program that indexes your album art into a really neat visual library.

I really like the idea of Coverflow. Some people on this site may not have had a collection of vinyl. But if you did, you can appreciate the feeling of browsing through your record collection. The album art meant a great deal.

Even though I still have many LP collecting dust. (Meaning this app would be great for a guy like me). I'm going to pass.

I always listen to my collection in random order now. It's brought new life my collection doing so. The odd time I'll be in the mood for an entire album, but normally now I'll just select a genre and let iTunes do its thing.

Kevin has had both a Mac and a PC for years -- back well into the Screen Savers days...

He mentioned in the podcast that he bought a powerbook a few months ago and returned it because he didn't like the "single click." But that he's now 'forcing himself' to like it. Sure he might have had a mac before now, but this may be his first run with Tiger. I wonder If he'll sport it for long on the diggnation vidcast. He seems to enjoy it, he defends Apple against Alex's remarks many times during the show. Again, I think it's an interesting dynamic.

Single click??? Who uses a single button mouse? Better yet, who uses a mouse. You need a whole other desk for a mouse. Get a track ball and leave the thing in one spot, not drive a mouse all around the room. I haven't used a mouse since the second time I ever used a puter. Never understood why anyone uses a mouse. The track ball is SOOO much more accurate. One button??
