|
|
It seems like the new Mac Mini (late 2012) has the same chassis as the previous model. I want to roll my own storage solution, but I need confirmation that I can squeeze in a SSD and HDD, like you could on the just-replaced model.
Can anyone here provide insight? Do we know it's the same chassis, or at least can support the same upgrade?
Thanks! _________________ e

Reports have it using a different fan, Hitachi hard drive, and antennas for wireless. Everything else appears to be the same.

For the record, I was able to move the HDD into the #2 position and put a new Crucial SSD into the #1 position. (I used both the OWC and iFixit guides.) Works like a charm! _________________ e
