The thought hadn't even crossed my mind.
I'd have to give it a bit more thought, but with 1000's of accessories, cables etc for the 30 pin dock design, I'd prefer to have it over the new lightning connector.
I don't use the 30 pin dock for anything more than charging. I have a car charger and 2 iPad chargers. I use these chargers for 2 iPads an iPhone and 3 iPods.
I wouldn't want to switch the cables out each time I charged with the new lightning connector. I also would want to have any more chargers hanging out of my wall outlets to accommodate both connectors.
I think having the new connector is a pain in the butt. It's not bad if you're starting fresh, as in the iPhone 5 is the first Apple mobile device you own, but too many of us have multiple 30 pin dock devices. |
