| I am going on vacation and will be gone for 2 weeks. Is it essential to take the power cord out of the Mac Mini or just leave it in? Everything is plugged into a AVR.Thanks |

Are you concerned about direct lightening strikes? Do you plan on unplugging all appliances? I guess I would be interested in what are your concerns.
I don't, I do turn most off but my server, just because they don't need to be running, but never unplugged anything. I do have a friend that turns off the breakers to everything in his house except the fridge when he goes for longer than a week. _________________ 2.0 GHz i7 Mini 8 GB RAM, OWC Merc Extreme SSD & Samsung Spinpoint

I tend to unplug the computers completely but thats mainly so I can hide them in case the house gets broken in to whilst we were away.
From a lightening or power supply point of view, I guess it won't do any harm to unplug it but it might if you didn't. _________________ Phil
