Just bought my first MM and gotta love the simplicity of upgrading these things!
2.5 i5, 500gb HDD, 4gb Ram, AMD 6630 with OS X Mountain Lion, although it showed up with Lion! Not a problem once it got started up and connected to my APPS store account it downloaded and installed OS X Mountain Lion!
Booted it up, did the initial setup and cloned to the OWC Mercury 6G 240GB SSD. Shut it down and gutted it. Installed a 1TB second HDD and the OWC 240GB SSD along with 16GB of OWC Ram and a 3TB EHD miniSTACK!
Migrated the rest of my apps from my Macbook and within 2 hours this thing was Rock'n & Rolling!
Recycled the OEM 500GB HDD in my MacBook Pro with a Data Doubler!

Hey Chris, i am eagerly awaiting arrival of my first MM + Ram and SSD.
How did you clone the drive to the SSD? did you have to buy and enclosure or dock etc and did you have to buy software to do it? _________________ Every day is Race Day |
