|
|
I need to burn an ISO file to a DVD and my superdrive won't do it. It reads fine (I used it to install Office and iLife and iWork), but won't write. I took the ISO and the DVD to my son's iMac and managed to burn the DVD, but now my Mini won't read the DVD.
Could it just be full of dirt or something? _________________ ____________

no it's called different burning revisions.
Let me explain Imac's burn on a super drive that supports burning 3.0 2.0 and 1.0 standards.
Mac mini's support 2.0 and 3.0 burning standards this means that if the iso is 1.0 it wont read in the mini and you will have to use a external cd drive that does and all external drives read 1.0 2.0 and 3.0 |

Nice. Who knew?
Thanks for the input. I bought an external Samsung that supports Blu-Ray as well for $80. That should work. _________________ ____________
