A few days ago I downloaded ML on a 2011 mini that had Lion on it, I didn't do a clean install, I copied over Lion. At first it seemed to run okay but then there was a lot of trouble with the internet it worked when it wanted, it was sloww or would not change pages it just kept spinning, in both Safari and Firefox. I did a lot of reading on different sites tried a lot of fixes, and nothing really solves my problem. I did learn from reading that there are many with this problem.
Last night I put a blank drive in a copier and downloaded a clean copy of Mountain Lion and it seems to run okay. So my questions would be is there a way to eliminate the login password screen?
If a person is selling a used mini how do you install Mountain Lion with out filling out the info that it wants because there is no way out of it to stop like in Snow Leopard?

If I understand your login question correctly, the way to eliminate the login password screen is the same as in Lion or Snow Leopard. Go to System Preferences/Users and Groups. Click on Login Options, and click the lock at the lower left corner (you have to unlock it to make changes). Choose the Automatic Login option, whatever user you want logged in automatically. Works fine on my home iMac where I use this option. _________________ Mini 1: 2.3 ghz Core i5; 8 gb RAM, Corsair 240gb SSD, 500 gb Seagate XT

If you are selling a used mini then you can't legally have ML on it unless it came with it.
Apple's really screwy. They brought down the price to US$20 but still make the licensing a pain. |
