Would it make sense to disassemble my Mini and drop the chassis?
When i measure with iStat it looks like the main component for the heat is the power supply! So I think, to loose the chassis so the PSU gets more air could be a good idea - or maybe extend the cables and have it as an external PSU? _________________ :apple: Mac Mini DualCore i7 :: 2.7GHz :: 2x4GB DDR1867 :: 2x Intel520 240GB SSD for total 480GB :: Radeon HD 6630m :: Dell 2209WA :: Razer Mamba 2012 :: Apple Alu wired US keyboard w/ iSkin ProTouch black :: |

Are you suffering any problems, or are you only concerned because of what iStat is telling you?
Because the Mini can run just fine without modification or extra cooling, after all, so maybe this is a case of knowing-too-much? :) |
