Hi there,
your color mismatch most likely comes from different color profiles of your screen and printer - and is not a problem of your Mac Mini. Usually, in the professional environment you would use a tool which measures color temperature, brightness, contrast, gamma of your screen and then you may adjust it accordingly - however, these tools are expensive and require some experience to use.
Try the following - get a printout of some photographies from some print service of your choice, this should be easy to get and at low cost. Then adjust the settings of your screen so that they best match the pictures. Once this is done, adjust your printer settings for a best match, too. Please note, that the settings for your screen and printer are definitely different because of the different device characteristics.
This approach will not give you the professional setting but close enough for good usability.
At least for the screen you may use the adjustment possibilities OS X offers. However, Adobe's software allows you to generate, maintain, and use device profiles and I recommend that your familiarize yourself with that approach.
Good success
