Mac Mini "Big Ideas"
Thursday December 22, 2005
Apple has launched a new section to their Mac mini product page called "Big Ideas." This new section highlights some cool projects, mods, and alternate ways people are using their Mac mini. "Mac mini packs so much power and versatility into its tiny case that it's no wonder people all over the world are finding fun new ways to use it. Here we highlight some of our favorites." Some of Apple's favorites are the Mini Dock automotive docking station, Team Banzai's autonomous vehicle, MiniPsi robot, and Millennium Falcon Mac mini. We are happy to see Apple talk up some of the other ways people are using their Mac mini away from the desk.

| So cool! And as far as I know, this is the first time Apple has done anything like this (officially recognize modding/etc., that is). |

Apple seems to be surprised with all the ways the Mac mini has been used. I don't think they could have ever imagined all these things when they released the Mac mini last year. I wonder if this will tie into something at Macworld Expo? I could see Steve Jobs pointed this out during his Keynote address if they announce a new Mac mini. Maybe they could have that little Mac mini robot bring out the new mini. |

I'm guessing you're around 30-36 years old.
That would be funny if the MiniPSi robot brought the new mini out on stage. Plus, they could for an iLife 06 demo with Photo Booth since it has iSight. Steve could look at the robot and make all those funny faces like he did with the new iMac. _________________ 1.25GHz Mac Mini / 1.8GHz iMac G5 / 2.0GHz C2D Mac mini (2009)
