I'm in need of dire help regarding BitTorent. I need to know a good program to use, I need to know how to use it and I need to know any other things that might be relevant. All type of help is welcome, thanks in advance!

All you need is Azureus or the BitTorrent Client to get started.

Thanks for your reply, but what port do I use on azuerus? My incompetence in dealing with BitTorrent enables me to ask obviously stupid questions like this.

I've found out that the built in OSX firewall does a number on most OSX bittorent clients. I can only achieve speeds above 5k by disabling the firewall. Even with 6881-6889 wide open.

If you are using a router that can slow things down if not configured properly or if a firewall is enabled. I've tried open up everything I could figure out and I still find I get a quicker transfer rate if I bypass my router and connect the mini directly to the modem.

I'm using a SMC7004VBR.

That's very useful advice. Now, I have what I want from BitTorrent, what I need now is a way to access the content. The file is titled "afo-xvid-wc.rar", when I try to expand it using StuffIt it gives me a format error #17540. What gives?!

I'm using Tomato Torrent, which although not as good as say BitComet for Windows, is still a whole lot better than the BitTorrent client.

Is this a single rar file, or one of several? What version of Stuffit are you using?
