Hi,
Newb here, and also new to Apple Minis.
I recently purchased a used mini (OS X 10.6.8 Snow Leopard) to delve into the world of Apple PCs but also for a little project I have on the go.
Not having a great deal of success with it at the moment.
My latest problem is that having connected the mini to 2 different PC monitors and a TV (via the mini VGA cable) I simply can't get any display and all I'm getting is 'no signal'. I know the monitors and the TV work and I know the mini works because a) the guy I bought it from had it working before he handed it over to me and b) I can hear the boot sequence with the Apple 'chime'. The cable wasn't a cheapo one, it cost me £25 so I'm pretty sure it works fine. What am I doing wrong?
Would be really grateful for any help please.

the macintosh was set to his monitor is your issue.
let me explain.
Macintoshes remember there video card settings the draw back sometime is that when you upgrade to another monitor if it cannot handle the resolution the mini was set for originally you will receive a no signal or signal out of range error this is because the hz setting was set to his monitor not yours. |
