Apple Releases iOS 5.1.1 Software Update

Apple today released the iOS 5.1.1 Software Update for the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. According to the company, this update includes the following improvements and bug fixes:
- Improves reliability of using HDR option for photos taken using the Lock Screen shortcut.
- Addresses bugs that could prevent the new iPad from switching between 2G and 3G networks.
- Fixes bugs that affected AirPlay video playback in some circumstances.
- Improved reliability for syncing Safari bookmarks and Reading List.
- Fixes an issue where 'Unable to purchase' alert could be displayed after successful purchase.
The iOS 5.1.1 Software Update is available via iTunes or over-the-air as a direct download.

| Wish there had been some improvements in battery life. iOS 5 hasn't been all that friendly to me that way. |

| An increase in battery life for the new iPad would be great. I'm to the point where I might bring mine back and ask for a replacement. |
