|
|
Hi Guys,
i am Stefan from Germany and i have a really big problem with my mac mini.
I press the on/off button, nothing appears, but
when i holding down the on/off button while plugging the power it in then it goes. This is the incorrect SMC reset procedure and I get fans running top speed and no LED light.
I bought the mini over eBay, it was dead.
i found a dead capacitor.
I've tried many things.
SMC Reset,
PVRAM Reset,
New Batterie,
new Power Supply,
flash the SMC manually etc.
But nothing works.
I think maybe the SMC Chip is faulty, or the Chip is not supplied with electricity.
Do you have any other ideas to solve my Problem?
Sorry for my bad english, hope you understand me? |

| most likely a bad mother board i am sorry to say it looks like you got a bad deal a new board would run you anywhere from 500.00 up to 700.00 us to replace it i wouldn't have purchased the mini on ebay because now you have no warranty so going to the apple store is out of the question as well |

i know there is something with the LogicBoard.
But it must be a very small Problem, like a capacitor or else.
Does anybody have a schematic for this board or have any other ideas what the problem is |

have you looked at the main board in the mini
because if the bad capacitor was there most likely they tried to plug it into a unsupported voltage and blew the capacitor if they did this the processors gone and so is the graphics card so no amount of help will get it running |
