Odd mac problem w/bootcamp + windows

Hello all,

I am new here and somewhat new to macs too. I have a mac mini i5 2.3mhz model connected to a CRT, via the mini display port to VGA adapter.

I have bootcamp + windows 7 installed. I boot to windows 7 normally, not the mac side.

It all works correctly except for one very annoying problem. It starts with the regular gray/white screen, then goes black. Windows loads up, but the screen is all black during this time period, nothing on the screen. Then
after waiting a while, the windows login screen pops up.

So basically there is no video output during the normal windows splash screen/boot sequence. If hooked up to an LCD, it works correctly and the normal screen is displayed. But for a CRT (tried two)... all black.

Is this a known bug? Anything I can do to fix it?
