Just like now the system will look for updates, I can see the AppStore getting the same feature. Frankly I'd rather have them combined into one app that checks for OS and App updates.

That would be a nice option. I can see that happening.
If it did go this way, it would be nice to have a visual notification difference between an app and an OS update.
App updates are extremely common. Many people would get complacent and neglect updating the OS.
I know I often let my App updates go unattended for periods of time. |
