|
|
I recently swapped from pcs to Minis at my office. We used WordPerfect a lot.
I have about 30,000 documents that I need to convert from WordPerfect to Word. I can do this one document at a time on my remaining pc that does have Word on it, however, that would take a long long time to get the documents converted.
Is anyone aware of a batch conversion procedure?
I have the wordperfect viewer app. and it works fine for reading the wp documents but I need to be able to edit a majority of these documents.
Thanks in advance for any help! |

I've never done this so I'm not speaking from experience.
Alright, download a free App. called "LibreOffice."
Then, test a conversion. Drag a WordPerfect document
into LibreOffice, then save it as a Word doc. You will
need to go into LibreOffice's Preferences to make it
save in Word as a default if you don't want to choose
"Save as Word doc." for each conversion.
If this works and I don't see why it won't, try a small
batch conversion buy dragging five then ten then however
may doc's you want to be converted using LibreOffice. _________________ 2011 Mac mini 2.7 GHz i7 with

I wonder if this worked for harblaw.
I'm sure it did. It would be nice of
him (her) to post back how things
went.
BTW, LibreOffice comes in Windows,
Mac Intel or PPC versions as well as
Linux. _________________ 2011 Mac mini 2.7 GHz i7 with
