|
|
Hi.
I have a Mac Mini(late 2009) and lately I've had this akward bluetooth and wifi problem. The Mini suddenly loses the wireless connections after few minutes of usage. First I lose the internet connection and a moment later my bluetoot keyboard and mou are disconnected. The wifi indicator still shows that mini actually is connected to my wireless modem...but if I disable the wifi on my mini, I cannot enable it anymore.
I've already tried to reset the SMC and I also opened my mini and checked the wireless antenna connections. No help.
Could it be that the wireless module is faulty? Or maybe re-imstalling the osx?
Any help appreciated... |

|

I performed a Software Update (10.7.3) buy
using the Download link supplied by
the 123Macmini web site for Apples
Software Updater zip file. Its generally
more reliable than updating your software
using the conventional Software Update
feature in the Menu.
Well guess what, Bluetooth problems.
Keyboard gets dropped often. Mail
stopped displaying my unread eMails
in the Dock Icon. Lost some features
for Safari for example, no sidebar, no
little light under launched Apps. If an
App. is launched and running, no little
Icon Dock Light. Right click on a running
Apps Dock Icon and the functions available
will only be for a non-running App even
thought the App is running.
Theirs probably more I haven't discovered.
DON'T APPLY THE 10.7.3 UPDATE YET!!!
Hopefully the next Update will fix these
issues. _________________ 2011 Mac mini 2.7 GHz i7 with

actually thats not true i hate to tell you i have a mac mini running 10.7.3 just fine and have had no issues with wireless or bluetooth.
most of the wireless issues are with the drivers themselves not with 10.7.3 there is a fix to this but you won't like it.
1. you need to backup your bluetooth driver and the wireless driver for your macintosh then run then 10.7.3 update this is what i always do before updating because system updates have always caused issues with wireless and bluetooth.
i have done this since 10.2 on powerpc i don't trust any update i am not stupid. |

What about Mail?
What about the Dock?
I don't trust updates either but how
do you update without updating?
As far as backing up the drivers
its to late now, life moves on. I'm
using the USB KB till Apple fixes it
like always. _________________ 2011 Mac mini 2.7 GHz i7 with
