iphoto 9 organization tips please

I just bought newer (2009) mac mini.
I have an old 2005 G4 mac mini.

Yes, I am the same poster of the iTunes organization. Looking for specialists.

I want to get my iphoto organized on my new mini or external drive or both.
I store and access my iphotos from my old mini drive. Time to go external or iCloud.

I have several iPhoto libraries and I would like to keep it that way.

I have iPhoto 9 on my newer mini and iPhoto 6 on my old mini. I just want to stay organized but move everything from my old mini to my new mini. Then I want to move it to my external.

Is this necessary?

So many questions!

Of course, I also want to use Time Machine to back up my new mini to my external but that seems to be another issue.

New mini has 500GB hard drive.
