Chrome is the new Firefox. All the Firefox ever did for me is leak memory.

There are several ad blocking extensions available in the Chrome Web Store. AdBlock is probably the most popular though.

I believe they fixed the memory leak issue way back in FF 4.0. I detect no more memory leak now than with any application.

I'm not sure when and/or if the memory leaks were fixed, but Firefox seems to use way more memory than Chrome with a couple tabs open. Almost double the amount with the same websites running in four open tabs.

A great browser shootout on Tom's Hardware that was posted today shows Firefox and Safari to be in the lead when it comes to HTML5 and standards. Chrome is still the fastest though.
