Hi guys,
I picked up a used mac mini, seller said he removed the password.. it seems he only removed it from the logon screen.
I'm unable to do any admin tasks, it asks for a password.
I tried forcing a boot with some of my dvd's, even forced a terminal, etc.. and none of the option keys seem to work at bootup?
it's a late 2006 mini
leopard # 10.5.8
I can get into the terminal, but without root or admin password i'm stuck.
What can I do? i have original dvd's from my wife's macbook (c2d 2.0 intel) and original dvd's from my mbp early 2011 15" i7 quad..
thanks _________________ 2011 MBP 15" 2.2 i7 quad

Thanks but tried it and didn't work. I was unable to get the boot menu at the beginning after pushing "c".
Luckily I had a copy of mac os x 10.6 on dvd, and when I put it in, I saw in system preferences, there's startup disk, thankfully it let me change the startup disk to the dvd and rebooted, and it worked! I was able to change the root password but I formatted the hd and installed snow leopard instead.
thanks for the reply. _________________ 2011 MBP 15" 2.2 i7 quad
