Recently I discovered my 2007 vintage MacBook Pro cannot be upgraded to Lion due to antique chip technology.

Last year I bought a refurbished mac mini for a friend, a MAC MINI 2.4/2X1G/320/SD/AP/BT-USA. Can this be upgraded to Lion?

BTW, after reading the lion comments/complaints here I'm in no rush to upgrade, just want to know if it can be done when we're ready.
