Dual Monitors Won't Wake Up

I have a Mac Mini Server (Mid 2011) and am having some problems with dual monitors not seeming to want to wake after going to sleep. It appears to be connected because the applications I had running before going to sleep are active I just can't see them on the screen or drag them over to my primary monitor.

The monitor is question is a Samsung that is connected via a Mini Displayport to VGA. If I restart the computer the monitor works fine and usually if I unplug the monitor and replug it back in it also works but neither option is optimal. The primary monitor I am using which is connected via HDMI to DVI doesn't seem to have the issue.

Is anybody else having this problem and are there any settings/programs that will fix my issue?
