Has anyone found a good format that works well with OS X, Linux, and Windows yet? Currently I use NTFS with NTFS-3G installed on my Mac, aside from being slow on transfers when using OS X it works out fine, but if anyone else with a Mac wants to put something on the external it just does not happen. FAT32 is simply not an option and exFAT is even worse than NTFS right now. _________________ "You must control your future by taking command of your present, and fixing and learning from your past."

It wouldn't be difficult, the biggest issue would be getting Apple, Microsoft, and someone big in Linux dev to all agree on one thing, the problem tends to be Apple or Microsoft, exFAT holds the most promise but Linux is where the most issues arise, I'll probably play around with exFAT some as more Linux support has come around since I last looked into it. _________________ "You must control your future by taking command of your present, and fixing and learning from your past."

A file size larger than 4GB's
isn't supported on a FAT32
Partition. That wouldn't work
for me. _________________ 2011 Mac mini 2.7 GHz i7 with

Yah, some of my EyeTV captures
easily exceed 4 Gig's. Hi-Def can
really eat space. _________________ 2011 Mac mini 2.7 GHz i7 with
