Cool! I was hoping we'd get that somewhere down the line. _________________ 1.42GHz Mac mini

I couldn't earlier today, because I was on 3G when I tried. It won't let me update unless I have Wi-Fi access.
I don't think that there is a setting that I can change. It's not that big of an update. I'd like to have had the choice. I have plenty of room on my 5GB data plan for a 39.2MB download. |

I'm not sure what all of the new gestures are for the original iPad, but excellent.
Are you on Rogers Bandit? |

Yes, I am on Rogers. It's probably is a Rogers thing. Likely it's in the carrier profile setting.
You'd think Rogers would want me using up my data plan
It's no big deal, but if I were working in the bush and I required an update it could become an issue.
As it is, I have plenty of clients that rely on 3G entirely. If iOS 5 is to become device independent, it should also become Wi-Fi independent. Not everyone has Wi-Fi, there are plenty of people with ethernet networks. ... Sure they could update through iTunes, but that's really not where we are going. |

+1 for OTA and Spotify...definitely worth $10/mo. Wish Apple would come out with something like that or just buy them. _________________ Mercury TiBook 400MHz, 1GB RAM, 120GB HD, Airport

I used to subscribe to Rhapsody, but canceled when Spotify came out. They just have an awesome selection of music. Plus, I really like their desktop and mobile apps.
I think iTunes Match is probably the best we'll get from Apple, but I guess they could always reserect Lala too. I'm sort of hoping they never buy Spotify though. It would probably be the death nail for the service. Just like what happened to Lala. |

Spotify is great, but I wish they had a native app for the iPad. _________________ 2.4GHz MacBook Pro/4GB/320GB HD

I got a push notification that an iOS update was available! When I went into settings on my iPhone, it said it was already downloaded (only 40mb, finally reasonable update sizes!) So, I installed it... few minutes later. WHAMO! All done. That is pretty sick. I even have mine syncing OTA and even though it says it will only do it when plugged into a power source, you can force it to sync without plugging it in! Way cool! _________________ Automotive Digital Marketing
