Have a late 2009 mac mini, running system 10.6.4. Everything has been stable. Most common uses are Google Chrome, iTunes, MS Office 2008, and Remote Desktop. Rip some DVD's with HandBrake when getting ready to travel.
Still running stock 2GB Ram and 160GB HD. No current need for a HD upgrade, and more memory is on the way.
Question: Any reason to upgrade to 10.6.8 or Lion?

| For sure, upgrade to 10.6.8. (security, stability, compatibility). I'd wait on Lion if you are content with Snow Leopard. |

Security and Snow Leopard Improvements
If you want iCloud as things stand you also need Lion. I'm not sure there is anything more that I have on my Lion machine that I feel I'm missing on my Snow Leopard one, but I'm pretty pissed off that as a paying customer of Mobile Me that I now have a product that doesn't work. I'm blocked from using a service I paid for as iCloud won't work on Snow Leopard so I can no longer sync bookmarks, calendars and contacts
{edit}
I thought of another reason to stick to snow leopard, coloured icons in finder sidebar. I hate the drab Lion look. I just loaded finder on my Snow Leopard machine and the difference just makes is so much better and easier to use. Stupid decision by apple to remove the colours. _________________ Phil
