Apple today released a new Airport Utility application for iOS 5 in the App Store. According to the company, this application allows users to manage their Wi-Fi network and 802.11n AirPort base stations (including the AirPort Express, AirPort Extreme and TimeCapsule) from an iPhone, iPod touch or iPad. With the application installed on one of these devices, you'll be able to:
- See a graphical overview of your Wi-Fi network.
- Get information about your connected Wi-Fi devices.
- View and change network and Wi-Fi settings.
- Restart or restore a base station, or update the firmware on a base station when available.
- View or update passwords for your network, base station, or disks.
- Easily access network information such as IP address, DNS servers, and router addresses.
- Manage DHCP reservations and port mappings.
- View status or error messages for your base station.
The Airport Utility application is compatible with the iPhone, iPad touch and iPad. It requires iOS 5.0 or later.

Can't download yet without iOS 5, but I can't wait to try. Apple really is cutting the cord now in so many ways. _________________ 1.42GHz Mac mini

| Another cool app from Apple. I'm always such a sucker for visual layouts. It seems to work pretty good too. |
