Steve Jobs Has Passed Away
Wednesday, October 5, 2011
Posted by: Glenn
It's a very sad day my friends. Apple has just announced the passing of Steve Jobs.
"Apple has lost a visionary and creative genius, and the world has lost an amazing human being. Those of us who have been fortunate enough to know and work with Steve have lost a dear friend and an inspiring mentor. Steve leaves behind a company that only he could have built, and his spirit will forever be the foundation of Apple."
If you would like to share your thoughts, memories, and condolences, please email rememberingsteve@apple.com
[Update] Apple's Board of Directors have issued a statement on the passing of Steve Jobs. Apple also posted a message that Tim Cook wrote to all Apple employees.

I know this has been rumoured about for a while especially following his announcement to step down, but wow its still a huge shock. The guy was an absolute genius. The people at Apple sure have big boots to fill. Lets hope Apple are big enough now to be able to carry on without him.

As a cancer survivor, I would just like to thank Steve Jobs for showing us such courage through his illness. It truly was inspiring.

One of the best speeches I've ever seen. They were just showing it on CNN. _________________ 1.42GHz Mac mini

I think Steve touched us all in many ways. From the devices we use to inspiring our minds and imaginations. That's what made him so special and why we'll miss him so much. He certainly changed the world for the better.
RIP, Steve. _________________ Brian

I am having a period of sadness, in my life; right now. I am so sorry for his family. 56 is way too young. I am at a loss for words. _________________ Mac Book 2.1 Ghz (Penryn) 10.6.7 4Gb DDR2
