Briefly: Bentley and Mac Mini Vault

Bentley Motors today unveiled a new concept car that puts a Mac mini, two iPads, and an iPod touch at the heart of its onboard entertainment system. The Mac mini is actually stored in a custom compartment in the trunk and is responsible for playing videos on a dropdown 15.6-inch HD LED monitor in the passenger compartment. It also helps the iPads and everything stay in sync. It's definitely a cool looking system, so check it out. In other news, Mac Mini Vault announced new high-density data center solutions built around the quad-core i7 Mac mini Server. This includes a customized 48U APC cabinet that accommodates the colocation of up to 140 Mac minis. More information about this product and pictures can be seen over here.

Yeah, that looks cool. I wonder what front-end they are actually using for the media center? I didn't see anything mentioned other than Apple media center, which I assume is just iTunes now that Front Row is gone. _________________ 1.42GHz Mac mini

I hope these options make it down to the poor man's Bentley. You know, the Chrysler 300M. |

I beleive VW still owns Bentley, or is some type of stake holder - so there's still hope |

Not sure, but I just bought a Jetta SE with the convenience package for my wife. It has the MDI interface for the iPod and iPhone. It's not as cool as this Bentley concept, but it's pretty handy. I wouldn't doubt we start seeing more stuff for the iPad as time goes on. _________________ 1.25GHz Mac Mini / 1.8GHz iMac G5 / 2.0GHz C2D Mac mini (2009)

I wouldn't doubt that Bill Gates already has one parked in the driveway now that he is gone from Microsoft. |
