Hi all. Just a quick question for you all. I just finished upgrading my Mid 2009 Mac Mini from 2GB to 8GB of RAM. In the process, however, what looks like a small IC on the right side of the CD/DVD-ROM drive popped off while opening up the case. It's not the entire little card next to the drive. Just the tiny little IC that looks like a black button with a white case.
Everything is working fine without said piece. Memory shows up fine. Optical drive works. I'm just wondering what this little piece is and if everything should work A-OK without it or if I should go ahead and try to solder it back on.
Thanks in advance,
Grant |
