SubEthaEdit is really good. I would have picked it over NVU.

Taco is a decent free one. It isn't as good as NVU or SubEthaEdit, but it's still worth a look.

Rapidweaver is a neat little app. MacTV has a video review of it with an embedded 15% coupon code at the end.

Which of all the above listed HTML programs would be best for the beginner?
I won't be building anything fancy...yet |

Good list. SuperDuper, in particular, absolutely rocks.

Cyberduck??? Are you kidding? Who really uses FTP anymore? Most, if not all, web browsers can do FTP if necessary. BitTorrent would have been a better suggestion there. |
When you are uploading web applications to different servers all the time, ftp is just the thing. Browser uploading? Useless, especially for heavy lifting. BitTorrent? Gee, my web hosts's ftp servers like ftp protocol for some reason. Not sure how using bittorrent will help me with my work.
Assuming your use case is everyone else's is one thing, getting indignant about it is another. |

What're you looking for? I use Smultron as a text editor/notepad replacement due to its syntax coloring, multiple document support, etc, but it not WYSIWYG. I hate WYSIWYG apps, though. I think that Eclipse offers an HTML plugin, though I don't think that's WYSIWYG either.
I wouldn't recommend Nvu as it's very buggy and I would take WMV off the list. It can't play videos that have the DRM where you just have to click yes to agree to the license agreement or something, so it's very crippled. Better just to ignore it.
Fugu is also a great SFTP/SSH client, and I recommend that for the list. Smultron should also go on as a text editor replacement. _________________ Computer Engineer
