New Mac Mini Benchmarks and Unboxings

The folks over at Macminicolo have posted up some Geekbench scores of the new Mac minis released yesterday. The new systems are said to be "screamers". The entry-level 2.3GHz Mac mini, featuring the Intel Dual-Core i5 processor, showed over a 2300-point gain from the previous generation models from 2010. The new Mac mini with Lion Server, running the 2.0GHz Intel Quad-Core i7 processor, smashed those results by even more. It showed over a 5500-point gain from the same models.

[Update] We did some testing of our own this evening on all three base models of the 2011 Mac mini. Down below are the results using Geekbench.

Wow! Wish they had the quad-core server with AMD Radeon HD graphics. That would be one smoking hot little computer.
