iMovie sound problem

I'm making a movie on my brand new Mac Mini and using iMovie 11 for the first time and I'm seeing this issue that I cannot solve.

I've laid down all my slides, and added my song from my iTunes library, and now I'm going through and adding lyrics to each slide so they appear in sync with the song.

As i swipe the mouse across each slide, i can hear the song playing and what words are coming through on that slide What is happening is it will work for awhile, but, all at once, I stop hearing the sound. The sound meters indicate there is still audio, but there is no sound. If I right click and choose "Play" the song plays fine from that point. If I click the play button at the bottom, the movie starts and plays fine. If I close and restart iMovie all is well again for a short time and then the problem repeats itself.

Any clues here?

yea actually this is a common problem question did you import it from iTunes the song i mean if so you need to delete the iMovie preferences and the iPhoto preferences file this will reset imovies audio bug
