|
|
I have been ripping DVD and Blu-Ray on the Mac for a couple years now and just wanted to and see if I'm still using best tools available now.
I use the following
Blu-Rays
- AnyDVD (on Win XP Parallels)
- BD Info (on Win XP Parallels)
- tsMuxer (Both Win & Mac)
- HandBrake
DVD
- HandBrake
I had a quick look at MakeMKV but was not sure if it was a good tool or not.
If your ripping for a Mac Mini & Plex, I would like to here what tools you use. _________________ --------------------------------------

MakeMKV and mkvtoolnix on both the peecee and the mini. I have AnyDVD HD, but I don't seem to need it any more with MakeMKV. New version of tsMuxer, but I haven't bothered with it. I think BD Info is also available for OS X, but I'm not sure.
Then I use Handbrake for transcoding teevee shows(only for progressive shows - I leave interlaced stuff alone) and HD content.
