Love the name! I'll have to read how it differs from Ubuntu Remix. It looks just about the same at first glance. _________________ 1.25GHz Mac Mini / 1.8GHz iMac G5 / 2.0GHz C2D Mac mini (2009)

It is pretty much the same. My understanding is that there are no differences under the hood, but there are differences in artwork and possibly the installer. In fact, now that a real UNR has been released by Canonical (versus Ubuntu + remix files before), there is some handwringing on the Easy Peasy site as to what they should do next to differentiate the distro. _________________ Mini 1: 2.3 ghz Core i5; 8 gb RAM, Corsair 240gb SSD, 500 gb Seagate XT

I installed EasyPeasy 1.6 about a month ago.
Installation, like Ubuntu, was a snap.
Unfortunately, it took about five hours to download and install all the updates. OUCH!
But it seems to work pretty well. they're about six months behind the next release and I have to wonder if the "next release" is even going to happen. |

What version of Ubuntu is 1.6 based on? Does it run with the old UNE interface, or with Unity? _________________ Mini 1: 2.3 ghz Core i5; 8 gb RAM, Corsair 240gb SSD, 500 gb Seagate XT

| It runs a version of Ubuntu Nebook Remix. Unity is supposedly coming in their 1.7 release. |

Interface-wise UNR was my favourite for the netbook; the 10.04 version. Newer versions start up faster, but I think they're less functional on a netbook. _________________ Mini 1: 2.3 ghz Core i5; 8 gb RAM, Corsair 240gb SSD, 500 gb Seagate XT

UNR's user interface ROCKED on netbooks!
I think Unity's desktop is FUGLY The "dash" is cool, though. |
