|
|
I bought the MacMini 2010 so that I could use my EyeTV with my TV and record programs. I am still fiddling with the set up. First tried using my Mac BookPro, and that worked, so I bought a MacMini, but I'm thinking I need a monitor. So I purchased a 22" Apple Cinema with an ADC connection. Have still to attempt hooking it up, using the Apple ADC->DVI and then the DVI->mini DVI. Not sure it'll work. Actually don't need much of monitor, but if this 22" doesn't work does anyone have a good idea for a smaller display that I could use if needed??? |

First - welcome to the ranks of the mac mini.
Second - I don't know if the Cinema will work but almost any modern monitor should work. Only problem ones are those with older VGA only designs as you need to buy an adapter. The 2009 and earlier came with a DVI to VGA adapter, not the 2010 model.
Now some gobbledygook:
The 2010 mini does not have a mini-DVI port but one ADP and one HDMI port. It should have come with a HDMI to DVI adapter. Note if you need VGA support that the included adapter is DVI-D so a DVI to VGA adapter won't work, you would need to get an ADP to VGA adapter. |
