Apple Releases FIPS Cryptographic Module v1.0

Apple has announced the released of the FIPS Cryptographic Module v1.0 for Snow Leopard. According to the company, the FIPS Cryptographic Module v1.0 is intended for use by Administrators and Crypto Officers in enterprises that require the use of a FIPS 140-2 validated cryptographic module. More information on how to set up and maintain a FIPS-enabled Snow Leopard system can be found here. The FIPS Cryptographic Module v1.0 weighs in at 24.22MB and requires Mac OS X 10.6 or later.
