G5 Question!!!!

i Know adobe doesn't support g5 anymore but im not going to stop using my g5 computer.

My question concern's the toslink at the back of the power macintosh g5

does it work good with games the current games i am playing are.

Halo

Harry potter 1 & 2

Return to castle wolfenstein

Quake (fruitz of dojo version)

Quake 3

and others is it worth hooking up?????????

should i bother?????

does it really improve video sound and other sound for games or should i by pass it?????
