Hello mac mini community, I am new

Ok, so I am completely changing my mac setup from scratch from an 08 15" macbook pro, and I am starting with a mac mini as the foundation. I have never had one, I definitely like all the reviews I have read, my main question is that I am not sure whether to acquire one right now or to wait to see if there is an upgrade soon this year. Does anyone have any info, or just 2 cents on this topic?

Chances of an update are probably pretty high but when is the question.

The design change to the 2010 model didn't give any real boost in performance so an update with newer processors is probably needed, also with the addition of Thunderbolt on the Macbook Pro we are likely to see this rolled out to the rest of the range. Whether the iMac or Mac Mini is the next to get it though is any ones guess.
