Much easier than on a mini!
That's a pretty spectacular upgrade in performance. Are you considering adding another CPU or is the dual CPU daughter board a different board?

no the one cpu mac pro has a one cpu socket.
I would need to spend a bundle to go to dual cpu's/.
but 9950 geekbench to 15264 is really good. this processor is really a nice upgrade.
BTW you are one of my online buddies that inspired me to do this upgrade.
I about cr@pped myself when I got some cotton stuck on the cpu board pins, but a good strong magnifying glass and a tweezers saved the day. Along with some canned air to fluff up the cotton for the tweezers to grab. _________________ 2010 Mm 2.4 C2D oem 320gb hdd 8gb ram

Little old me?
If only Mr Breeden still had his forums up at XLR8YOURMAC...
As a matter of fact, you might wanna submit a report for the CPU upgrade database there. You can send an email to Mr Breeden at the address on this page - http://www.xlr8yourmac.com/cpucards.html
