I was thinking about buying the 13" model, but I can't understand for the life of me why Apple didn't go with a 1440 x 900 screen like they did with the MacBook Air. It's really a shame.

I didn't even realize that was the case. Shocked

I would much rather have the higher resolution screen. I also find the glossy screen type of the MBA to be less reflective. I just think it's a better looking system all around.

I'm actually thinking about buying a MBA again. I sold my old one to gain the funds for buying an iPad and Mac mini.

Agreed. I could get a low-end 13" MBP for about half what I'd pay for a 15" MBP specced up with a high-res screen.

I may wait for the 13" MBP to go quad core and then get that.

A bit depends on how prices change and what the next refresh brings. I guess I'll have to wait and see.

My current MacBook came with Tiger, I ran it on Leopard for a while and now it runs Snow Leopard. I may be able to update it to Lion and get it to run that as well. I'd like my next Mac laptop to be a model released after Lion, not before.
