What's the best gift anyone has ever purchased for you? It doesn't need to be expensive either. Just something that means the most to you. Mine is a Leatherman knife (pocket survival tool) that my grandfather bought for me on my sixteenth birthday. I was thinking about this the other day and kinda have the subject stuck in my mind. It's one of my most cherished items. _________________ 1.42GHz Mac mini

I would have to say a quilt my mom hand sewn for all seven of her kids. She started making them in the mid to late 1970s and finished mine sometimes in the '80s. I got mine last since I'm 7 of 7.
I still have it and now it's beginning to show signs of wear & tear. What is so special about it, is they are made like the American flag, including all 50 states, state birds and state capitals designed on it. She passed away in '07 at age 87. _________________ G4 Mac Mini | 1.25ghz | 1gb | 40gb | OS X 10.4.11 | 37" Westinghouse HDTV

when my neighbors came back from European vacation they gave me a nice swiss army knife. They had my name engraved in it. It was unexpected and very nice. _________________ 2010 Mm 2.4 C2D oem 320gb hdd 8gb ram

It wasn't purchased & is one of my most cherished items, my fathers Dog Tags from the Korean War. given to me from my Mother.
The US government had no records of my father fighting in this war & he wanted to be burred in a national cemetery.
It seems that 16-18 million military personnel records were lost in a fire.

We did find his discharge papers in time to have him burred in a national cemetery. We had less then 24 hours to find proof a 23 year old man fought for this country. _________________ iMac 3.06ghz 27" 4gb ram C2D 1TB/LaCie d2 1T

Wow, that's really something tales.
I'm thinking it's the wedding ring on my finger. It was given to me by the love of my life and the mother of my children. I don't think there is another object on this planet that I would trade it for. Well, unless it was a check with a bunch of zeros. |
