I would just get an HDMI cable from monoprice.
That worked for me initially but then I had a situation where I wanted to have a set of external speakers on the mini too.
I had to go with a mini display port to VGA adapter cable from monoprice for the TV so I would not have to change the audio settings from HDMI to headphone all the time.
I split the analog audio out from the heaphone jack with one going to the tv and one to the external speakers. This works well but I have to turn down the volume on the external speakers when I watch TV because there is about a 1 second delay on the audio that comes out of the TV vs. the external speakers.
I also use the HDMI to DVI adapter for a computer monitor on the mini and have the TV as an extended desktop as stated above via the minidisplay port. |
