external dvd burner

I have a Mac mini 2.1... I bought an LG portable multi drive USB dvd burner from Best Buy, but my mini isn't recognizing it....

thoughts???

first off it was over priced

20 dollars lower price.
even with shipping it is only 45 bucks.

also the manual does not mention it supports mac.

the model I bought said it supported Mac on the box.. but either way it isn't working, so I'm going to bring it back....
